The latest trend in bathroom design is, without doubt, the wet room. They’re an increasingly popular solution for virtually any bathroom because they offer such a luxurious and contemporary feel along with a really efficient use of space. A wet room is effectively a bathroom where the shower area is level with the surrounding floor. Water tight fit

Wet rooms are a stunning edition to any home but it is absolutely imperative that they are correctly fitted by a skilled tradesman to ensure that they are completely water tight.

There are a number of things to consider when deciding on a wet room.

• The whole room will need to be watertight
• The floor will need to be raised a little to accommodate any waste fittings
• The floor will need to be built with a slight slope towards the waste outlet
• The floor needs to be structurally strong enough to take the weight of all the materials
• The room needs to have sufficient ventilation in order to help it dry out
